Why Japan?

Japan is a nation at a crossroads.

The country is experiencing profound demographic and social change. As Japan faces a rapidly aging population, declining birthrates, and growing challenges for young people, the next generation will carry an extraordinary responsibility for the nation's future.

That makes investing in children especially important.

Children and young people need places where they can develop academically, discover their strengths, build healthy relationships, and grow into people who lead with courage, compassion, and purpose.

But there is another reason we believe this moment matters.

Japan is home to one of the world's largest unreached populations, with a very small percentage of the population identifying as Christian.

We believe education can create meaningful relationships and open doors to serve families and communities with the love of Jesus. Valor exists at the intersection of these two opportunities: investing in the next generation while being a light in a nation we deeply love.

But the story of Japan is not one of hopelessness.

It is a story of opportunity.

We believe the next generation can help shape a different future—one marked by courage, compassion, purpose, and hope. Through education, relationships, and the love of Jesus, we have the opportunity to invest in children today who will impact families, communities, and Japan for generations to come.

This is why we believe in Valor.

This is why we believe Japan is worth investing in.
